Dry Rot
Foliage turns yellow and dies prematurely. Leaf bases are rotted and may be shredded. Black fungal pellets the size of pepper grains may cover the decayed leaf bases and husks of the corms (the "bulbs" of the gladiolus plant). There are dark brown to black sunken lesions on the corms. These lesions are dry and corky. They may enlarge and join together, destroying the entire corm.
